Today my EQ took a nose dive as 2 bank offials at my Mom 's bank were extrememly difficult and uncorperative to put it mildly . It got to less than 10.
Help I need a shrink. But several hours later the viberations are wearing off.Now i can almost laugh.
i am so sorry at what is happening to poor Taslima.I 've not read any of her books.will try to get hold of some...in English

Given that the sum of my EQ and IQ doesn't exceed double digits, you, with that insane score, are no less than a superhuman. We low grade humans will launch an e-protest if we sense your species to be intimidating or making suspicious advances.

I am sorry for the situation in your Mom’s bank and what I understood is this is the common problem of us, Indians. Most of us live for ourselves. May be this conception is applicable around the Globe, but the basic difference is in following the processes, rules, gentleness, punctuality, commitment etc.
Taslima is now a burning issue in India. I read many books of her, well written literature, where she tried to put-up her voices against many social/religious areas but still I think she is not in the best category writers of Bengali Literature now. These controversies made her in/famous, but the way Govts/Parties are playing with her is not at all acceptable.
Govt of WB has forced her many times to leave Bengal, just to ensure the muslim vote bank. Now she is in Delhi under central govt, but no one knows where she is. The current update is, she is ready to take out the most controversial paragraphs from her autobiography “Dikhandito” (divided into two parts). “Lajja”(Shame) was another controversial book written by her. I am not sure whether these are available in English.
It’s a big debate whether we can write anything as we are a democratic country or we should have a limit and should have to take care about the sensitivity. Again, the things which are not sensitive to me may be sensitive to others. So we can not reach any conclusion on scope of the freedom of speech.
